Privacy Policy for AudioEditor

Effective date: August 10, 2026
Application: AudioEditor (Android)
Developer: HKV Studios
Contact: hkvstudios@gmail.com

This privacy policy applies to the AudioEditor mobile application (the “Application”) for Android devices, created by HKV Studios (the “Service Provider”). The Application is provided for use “AS IS”.

In short: AudioEditor edits your audio entirely on your own device. Your recordings, imported files and exported results are never uploaded to any server and are never seen by the Service Provider. The only information that leaves your device is the limited technical data used to display advertisements, and purchase information handled directly by Google Play.

1. Information Collection and Use

The Application does not require you to create an account, and the Service Provider does not operate any server that receives, stores or processes your personal information. All editing features work locally on your device.

The Application requests the following device permissions, and only for the purposes described:

The Application itself does not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, or any other directly identifying personal information. Limited technical information may be collected by the third-party advertising service described in Advertising and Advertising ID below.

2. Microphone and Audio Recording

The Application includes a voice recorder. When you use it, the Application requests permission to access your device’s microphone. Recordings are created and stored only on your device, in storage that you choose.

Recorded audio is never uploaded, never transmitted to the Service Provider, and never shared with any third party. The microphone is accessed only while you are actively recording inside the Application, and never in the background. You can revoke microphone access at any time from your device’s Settings.

3. Files, Media and Storage

The Application lets you select audio and video files from your device so they can be edited — for example trimmed, merged, looped, converted, mixed, or have their vocals removed — and saves the results back to your device’s storage or media library.

The Application also lets you select an image from your device to pair with an audio track, which it renders into a video file saved to your device. The image is used only to create that video.

All of this processing happens locally on your device. Your audio, video and image files, and any files produced from them, are never uploaded to any server, are not accessible to the Service Provider, and are not shared with any third party. The Application reads only the specific files that you choose, and has no access to the rest of your photo library or storage.

4. Text to Speech

The Application’s Text to Speech feature passes the text you type to the text-to-speech engine already installed on your device — for example Google Text-to-Speech or your device manufacturer’s engine. That engine’s own privacy policy governs how it handles the text. The Service Provider does not store, collect or transmit the text you enter.

5. Sharing to Other Apps

The Application lets you share an exported file to other applications on your device using Android’s standard share sheet. This happens only when you choose to share, and the file is handed to the application you select. Once shared, the receiving application’s own privacy policy governs what happens to that file. The Service Provider is not involved in and has no visibility into that transfer.

6. On-Device Processing

All audio and video editing performed by the Application runs entirely on your device. The Application has no backend server and does not maintain user accounts. The only data that leaves your device is the advertising data described below and purchase information handled by Google Play.

7. Advertising and Advertising ID

The Application displays advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. To serve and measure advertisements, AdMob may access your device’s Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID / AAID), together with coarse technical information such as device type, operating system version, and an approximate location derived from your IP address.

The Service Provider does not itself collect, store or have access to your Advertising ID. This information is collected by and remains with Google.

You can reset your Advertising ID, or opt out of advertisement personalisation entirely, at any time from Settings › Privacy › Ads on your Android device.

Google AdMob’s use of this data is governed by Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

The advertisements shown in the Application may be personalised on the basis of the Advertising ID and technical information described in section 7. You can turn off advertisement personalisation at any time from Settings › Privacy › Ads on your Android device. If you do, you will still see advertisements, but they will not be personalised.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the Application presents a consent form the first time you open it, before any personalised advertisement is requested. The form is provided through Google’s User Messaging Platform, a Google-certified consent management platform.

You can change or withdraw that choice at any time by opening Profile › Ad Privacy Settings inside the Application, which reopens the same form. If you decline consent, you will still see advertisements, but they will not be personalised.

9. In-App Purchases

The Application may offer an optional one-time in-app purchase that removes advertisements. Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing.

The Service Provider does not receive, see or store your payment card details, billing address, or any other payment information. Google Play’s handling of that data is governed by Google’s privacy policy. The Application stores only a local flag on your device recording whether the purchase was made, so that advertisements stay disabled.

10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Application itself does not use cookies. However, the third-party advertising service used by the Application may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to deliver and measure advertisements. You can control these through your device’s advertising settings as described in section 7. Where required by applicable law, consent is obtained before non-essential tracking technologies are used.

11. Third Party Access

Only the services listed below receive any data in connection with the Application. Please review their privacy policies:

The Service Provider does not sell your personal information. Information may be disclosed only where required by law, to comply with a legal process, to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing the Application, or to protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of any person.

12. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. Because the Service Provider does not hold personal data about you on any server, most such requests concern data held by Google as described above and can be exercised through your Google account settings or your device settings.

You may still contact the Service Provider at hkvstudios@gmail.com to exercise any of these rights, and you will receive a response within the period required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

13. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.

The Service Provider does not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact hkvstudios@gmail.com. Advertising personalisation can additionally be turned off directly on your device as described in section 7.

14. International Data Transfers

The third-party services listed above may process data on servers located outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area. Where such transfers occur, they are carried out under appropriate safeguards, including the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

15. Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it, using the standard uninstall process available on your device or through the application marketplace.

To stop advertisement personalisation without uninstalling, use your device’s advertising settings as described in section 7, or, in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, withdraw consent from within the Application’s privacy settings.

16. Data Retention Policy

Files you create or edit with the Application remain on your device until you delete them; the Service Provider has no ability to remove or retain them.

Any data you provide directly to the Service Provider — for example the contents of a support email — is retained for the duration of your use of the Application plus 12 months thereafter. Technical data collected automatically by the advertising service is retained by that service for up to 24 months, in accordance with its own policy.

17. Data Deletion

The Application has no backend server and no user accounts, so there is no database of your information for the Service Provider to delete. Deletion is under your own control:

18. Children

The Application is not intended for or directed at children under 16 years of age. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

Where required by law, use of the Application by a child requires the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe that a child has provided personal information in connection with the Application, please contact hkvstudios@gmail.com so that it can be deleted.

19. Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information, and the Application’s on-device design means that your recordings and edited files never leave your control. Please note that no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

20. Data Breach Notification

In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting personal information held by the Service Provider, affected users and the relevant supervisory authority will be notified without undue delay and, where required, within 72 hours of the Service Provider becoming aware of the breach.

21. Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the effective date at the top will be revised. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

By using the Application, you consent to the processing of information as set out in this Privacy Policy, now and as amended. Where processing relies on consent, that consent is obtained by you affirmatively opting in to the relevant feature or action.

23. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, or about the Application’s privacy practices, contact the Service Provider at hkvstudios@gmail.com.
